Woodlands Education, Development, and Curriculum 6 Weeks to 12 Months.

At Woodlands, we understand that the first 12 months of life is a crucial period for, learning, development and building secure attachments. Woodlands values the importance of meaningful partnerships between Families and Teachers. We recognise that this requires continuous collaboration. Upon your infants’ first day, their Educator will spend time getting to know you and your infant. We will complete a personal profile about your infant’s daily routine, sleep, bottle and dietary requirements, interests, dislikes, and events that are important to your family. This ensures that your infant’s transition into care and education at Woodlands is positive and familiar.

Woodlands Nursery Classrooms are beautifully designed, safe, and inviting places where infants can thrive while being supported by our experienced Teachers and Educators to, reach developmental milestones, learn about their world and develop a sense of belonging.

Woodlands Teachers and Educators use their extensive knowledge of child development, current teaching and learning theories, and the Woodlands Method to plan and implement learning programs, as well as meaningful transitions/routines to support and engage your infant in the program.

Woodlands Education, Development, and Curriculum 1 to 2 Years Old.

1 to 2 Years At Woodlands, we provide a safe and motivating environment for toddlers to play, learn, and explore. Woodlands values the importance of meaningful partnerships between Families and Teachers. We recognise that this requires continuous collaboration. Upon your toddler’s first day, their Educator will spend time getting to know you and your toddler. We will complete a personal profile about your child’s daily routine, sleep, bottle and dietary requirements, interests, dislikes and events that are important to your family. This ensures that your toddler’s transition into care and education at Woodlands is positive and familiar.

Woodlands 1 to 2-Year-Old Classrooms are thoughtfully designed spaces that motivate toddlers as they take on new challenges and develop their self-awareness, social skills, and communication. Our classrooms provide opportunities for toddlers to use new skills and be active in safe surroundings.

Woodlands Teachers and Educators use their extensive knowledge of child development, current teaching and learning theories, the Early Years Learning Framework and the Woodlands Method to plan and implement learning programs, as well as meaningful transitions/routines to support and engage your toddler in the program.

From 1 to 2 years old, toddlers are curious and energetic individuals who begin to participate in parallel play and have new experiences. Woodlands Sports & Yoga Program.

Woodlands believe sport and yoga has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire and unite people. Woodlands is wholeheartedly committed to the knowledge that sports and yoga develops lifelong skills in children and that this program is offered free of charge to all Woodlands Families. Our Sports and Yoga Teacher is employed by Woodlands specifically for Woodlands.

Woodlands teaches children 1 – 6 years old, the skills, technique, and fundamentals of sport and yoga. Balance, throwing, kicking, coordination, running, self-control, right down to the precise motion and technique. Incorporating reflective learning of colours, shapes, numbers and letters through exciting games and guided exercises.

All teachers are actively involved and participate in the class to role model, co-teach, and bond with children as they learn new skills and develop existing physical, cognitive, and communication skills through sports and yoga.

Our Woodland Chefs Cook Fresh Food Daily.

The Woodland Campus Chef’s cook and prepare fresh meals every day for children. Our Campus chef also prepare specifc meals for children with dietary preferences and allergies.

At Woodlands, meals are served at different times depending on the classroom age group and routine. Below is guide of all our meals served everyday at no additional cost.

Our Chef’s manage childerns food preferences and allergies by preparing and cooking individualized meals for children with specific food requirements.

We manage children’s information via our Xplor Playground App which has extensive information about all children including medical information, food preferences and dietary requirements. We also use a backup online database as another method to ensure children’s information is current and available to the Woodlands team.

Absolutely, our Chefs assess the design of the menu based on children and use the Healthy Eating Advisory Service as guide to ensure all meals are healthy and are meeting Healthy Eating standards of Australia.
